Data Backup

持物 iThings supports saving and migrating your data through backup files. A backup may contain assets, wish list items, categories, photos, notes and related settings — please keep it safe.

iOS

The iOS version is local-first, with optional iCloud/CloudKit sync. iCloud data is stored under your own Apple account; the iThings team cannot sign in to your Apple ID or read your private iCloud database.

Android

The Android version supports local backup export and import, and — after signing in to your account — Android cloud backup snapshots. Snapshots are uploaded to the iThings backend at https://api.ithingsapp.com so the latest backup can be restored across devices.

Security tips

• A backup file may contain your complete assets and photos. Do not share it with anyone you do not trust.
• Before importing an external file, make sure it comes from a trusted source.
• Before switching devices or reinstalling the app, export a backup or confirm that cloud sync is working.
